How do you feel, today?

Let’s start by defining ‘feel…’

Feel your feelings

Indulge them…


If you’re sad…

Take a deep breath and…

  • Journal about it…
  • Talk about it, if you can…
  • Curl up and hug a pillow! You may want to set a time limit. 🙂
  • Make a pouty, frowny face while you’re doing laundry, for example. 😦

By having a time limit to actually feel your feelings, you can feel and move on quicker than you could otherwise… It really can be a good idea! It may sound strange, but it can be healthy!

Some people are so afraid of their feelings, they refuse to feel them, so setting a timer for a half hour, an hour, five minutes, even…to feel those feelings can be a healthy process.


Say to yourself…

“I’m going to be sad, or angry for five minutes,” and actually set a timer!

  • Go to the gym, sad, or angry to start…(You can be sad!)
  • Ask for help, before you go to sleep, regarding the issue that saddens you.
    Ex: What is a possible solution?
    Ex: What should I do to feel better? What should others do…?
    Ex: Can you heal my heart? Can you heal the world?
    Ex: What do I need to heal? What does the world need to heal?
    ~ You’ll eventually wake up feeling better, or with an idea of how
    to feel better.

If you’re angry…

Take a deep breath and…

  • Go to a shooting range/Play a shooting game!
  • Go to a batting cage.
  • Strangle someone in your mind!
    There are horrible atrocities committed by people…

    ~ It’s only human…and it’s better to feel your feelings than
    to suppress them!
  • Write a letter.
  • Journal about it…
  • Talk about it, if you can…
  • Listen to loud, angry music ~ maybe with headphones 🙂
  • Go to the gym, angry!
  • Do some aerobics on youtube with your own, angry music!
  • Do yoga! It’s o.k. to be angry!
  • Create a petition
  • Do a fundraiser
  • Organize a rally
  • List possible solutions, discuss them with those who are in
    a good position to assist…
  • Get involved in local government…
  • Learn about an issue in depth…
  • Make a documentary!
  • Educate others on the issue…

If you’re confused…

Take a deep breath and…

  • Sit quietly with the issue…
  • Journal about it ~ if you want to make a decision, write down the pros and cons, make the decision, then listen to your body. If your body doesn’t feel right, change your mind, and repeat!
  • Talk about it, if ya can…
  • Look something up on the internet. There is a wealth of information
    out there!
  • If you’re truly lost, use this week’s intention to create an action.
    Ex: Intention: Wellness
    Action: Do a meditation, cook a healthy meal, etc…
  • Ask yourself a question before you go to sleep regarding
    whatever is confusing you.
    Ex: What should I do regarding this situation?
    Ex: What is my life purpose?
    Ex: What should I do tomorrow?

You can ask anything!


After you ask a question, before you go to sleep, you will dream something and the key will be to remember the dream and interpret it correctly. How will you know it’s the right thing…? Listen to your body, do a meditation, listen to your higher self… 


If you’re happy…

Take a deep, happy breath and…

  • Clap your hands!
  • Ask yourself, how can I play today?
    Then live from the question and see what unfolds…
  • Perform a random act of kindness.
  • Dance and sing.
  • Do a cartwheel ~ whatever!

After indulging in your feelings, you can do a meditation. It is always a good idea!  See ‘Mediations,’ below…


Also, you can ask yourself, for some of the more mild occurances in life, and it might be difficult, but it can also be fabulous, “How can this be a good thing?”
Or you can ask yourself, and this can be exceedingly difficult and painful, but it’s a way through a difficult situation: “What good can come out of this event, situation, or atrocity…?” 

Let’s continue by defining “wellness…”

1. The state of being in good physical and mental health.

Be sure to take care of yourself, too!

Ask yourself…How do I feel?

Then distinguish your feeling and indulge it!  As long as you’re not hurting yourself or anyone else, then indulge the feeling! Again, it’s a good idea to put a time limit on it. 🙂 Actually set a timer in some cases! 


Also, you may discover that you need something…
What do you need? Go get it!


Ask someone else, today…How do you feel?
Then encourage them to feel their feelings…

There are those who have said that “thought” proceeds “feeling;” so for further exploration…

  • Write down each thought, or feeling one at a time.
  • Examine each thought or feeling, when you ‘feel’ like it!
  • Take action! If you’re feelin it…

And know that your thoughts usually create your feelings, while keeping in mind the definition of “thought.”

in the mind.

Thinking is not always a good idea…however ‘inspirations’ or ‘insights’ that occur suddenly in the mind can be very valuable!


Also ideas that come to you in meditation or while doing yoga are usually quite good! Indulge those ideas…

The Yoga Book

“The idea for The Yoga Book came to me in a yoga class! I saw it clearly in my mind and I needed somewhere to write it down. Also, I had recently met with a Indian medical doctor, who had said “Different styles of yoga effect people differently, so it is important to know which ‘style of yoga’ is right for you.” So, I decided to create a book, where people could journal about their experiences in a yoga class, write about the different postures – how they felt, get inspired, and write about their insights… Sometimes I would come to class with a problem, any problem, and leave with a solution! And when I did, I’d write it down somewhere, so I decided to create The Yoga Book.”
