Daily Affirmation: I relax…
“Self love is the source of all other loves.”
– Pierre Corneille
This week’s question is “How… can you emotionally, spiritually, physically, and mentally support yourself?”
So, let’s start with defining ‘support yourself…’
1. To provide yourself with the things you need.
Let’s continue with defining ’emotionally, spiritually, physically, and mentally…’
1. Related to how you feel.
Ex: She spoke to a friend, she took care of herself, emotionally.
1. Related to your spirit.
Ex: She did a meditation and took care of herself spiritually.
1. Related to the physical body.
Ex: She took care of herself physically, by doing yoga.
1. Related to everything psychological.
Ex: She took care of herself mentally, by taking a personal day.
Let’s not forget the definition of “self care…”
1. Intentional actions taken by you, for the benefit of your health and wellness.
How… can you emotionally, spiritually, physically, and mentally support yourself, today?
- Do something fun!
Something YOU think is fun…
- Breathe deeply…
- Break your routine…like in this case.
Ex: She went running everyday for many years, but today, her friend was in town, so she decided to meet her for breakfast! She took a break, today.
- Practice yoga…
- Talk to someone…
- Write down the things you can do for yourself,
then schedule those things, today!
Support Yourself Emotionally
Support Yourself Spiritually
Support Yourself Physically
Support Yourself Mentally
- Get a facial!
Give yourself a facial at home!
- Take a bath in the dark! A sensory deprivation bath… 🙂
- Meet with people who have similar interests…
- Recognize and express your needs… fulfill those needs.
Whatever you need, go get it!
Ask yourself, “How… can I emotionally, spiritually, physically, and mentally support myself, today?” Then, live from the question and see what unfolds…

About The Yoga Book
The Yoga Book
The Yoga Book is a personal yoga diary! It is a book for your thoughts and experiences, after a yoga class. Do you have a favorite posture? Sketch it! Do you have a favorite class or instructor? Take notes! Do you have a creative idea? Write it down! Use it to determine your favorite style of yoga or enhance your practice. The Yoga Book is also perfect for teacher trainings and yoga workshops! Every page has an inspirational quote, space for the date, style of yoga, and instructor’s name. It also has a glossary of classic yogas. Enjoy!
“The idea for The Yoga Book came to me in a yoga class! I saw it clearly in my mind and I needed somewhere to write it down. Also, I had recently met with an Indian medical doctor, who had said “Different styles of yoga effect people differently, so it is important to know which ‘style of yoga’ is right for you.” So, I decided to create a book, where people could journal about their experiences in a yoga class, write about the different postures – how they felt, get inspired, and write about their insights… Sometimes I would come to class with a problem, any problem, and leave with a solution! And when I did, I’d write it down somewhere, so I decided to create The Yoga Book.”
