How… can you ‘live consciously,’ today?

Weekly Question: “How can you ‘live consciously,’ today?”

Weekly Intention:  Grow

Notes/Thoughts

Security is mostly a superstition. It does not exist in nature, nor do the children of men as a whole experience it. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing. To keep our faces toward change and behave like free spirits in the presence of fate is strength undefeatable.” Helen Keller

How… can you ‘live consciously,’ today?

  • Breathe deeply…
Say to yourself, “I am breathing.”
  • Stay in the present!
*Live an entire day, in the present.
Ex: Say to yourself, “I am walking…right now.”
    And so on…
  • Ask yourself, “How would you live, if you had no fear at all?”
  • If something scares you, say, “Yes, I’ll do it!” After a lil’ consideration… 😉
  • Go outside and look at something…
*When you see a tree, for instance, say “Tree”
*Then, look at something else, and repeat…
  • Develop an awareness of your interpretation, in every moment…
Ex: “This is interesting. This is good. This is bad.”
Then, forget the interpretation…and simply label it.
Ex: “This is a conversation.” “He is walking, now.” “She said…he said…”
  • Enjoy!

Ask yourself, “How can I ‘live consciously,’ today?”
Then, live from the question and see what unfolds…

About The Yoga Book

The Yoga Book

The Yoga Book is a personal yoga diary! It is a book for your thoughts and experiences, after a yoga class. Do you have a favorite posture? Sketch it! Do you have a favorite class or instructor? Take notes! Do you have a creative idea? Write it down! Use it to determine your favorite style of yoga or enhance your practice. The Yoga Book is also perfect for teacher trainings and yoga workshops! Every page has an inspirational quote, space for the date, style of yoga, and instructor’s name. It also has a glossary of classic yogas. Enjoy!

“The idea for The Yoga Book came to me in a yoga class! I saw it clearly in my mind and I needed somewhere to write it down. Also, I had recently met with an Indian medical doctor, who had said “Different styles of yoga effect people differently, so it is important to know which ‘style of yoga’ is right for you.” So, I decided to create a book, where people could journal about their experiences in a yoga class, write about the different postures – how they felt, get inspired, and write about their insights… Sometimes I would come to class with a problem, any problem, and leave with a solution! And when I did, I’d write it down somewhere, so I decided to create The Yoga Book.”

  1. I already keep a type of yoga diary, but this looks better than mine as mine is just a regular notebook. I have been reading The 3T Path by Giridhari Das, 3TPath.com for the info. But I am learning more than I have before about the deeper places that yoga can take us. I’ve really enjoyed it!

    1. Oh, interesting! I haven’t read that book, yet, but it sounds good. And it’s so nice to get a comment! As for your ‘regular notebook,’ it’s completely fine! It’s all about the words and having a place to write ’em down.. 🙂
