Weekly Question: “How… can you ‘cultivate wisdom and experience freedom,’ today?”

Weekly Intention: Freedom

“There are moments of insight when ancient truths do stand out more vividly, and one senses anew his relationship to the earth and to all life.  Such moments are worth waiting for, and when they come in some unheralded instant of knowing, they are of the purest gold.” – Sigurd Olson

How… can you ‘cultivate wisdom and experience freedom,’ today?

  • Observe your thoughts, joyfully!
Ex: Say to yourself, “I am walking, and I am noticing this thought.”
  • Observe your feelings, joyfully!
Ex: Say to yourself, “I am feeling tired, and I am noticing this feeling.”
  • Observe your behaviors, JOYFULLY!
Ex: Say to yourself, “I am running around, this morning, and I am noticing this behavior.”
*Forget about judging these thoughts, feelings, or behaviors, as good or bad, today.
  • Be open to wisdom…
*Intuitive thoughts are strong in the morning, just as you’re waking up, and they are strong in the evening, just as you’re falling asleep. So, pay attention to these thoughts… 🙂
*Ask yourself, for instance, before you go to bed, “What should I do?” Then, notice the answer in the morning…
  • Be indifferent to possessions…
Ex: Turn off your cell phone, today. 🙂
  • Stabilize your emotions…
Ex: Meditate, Get a Massage, Take a Walk…
  • ‘Breathe into your senses…’
Ex: If you feel upset, or angry, breathe into the feeling.

  • Live Your Purpose!
    Ex: “Vision and Acceptance”
*Your purpose, for instance, could be ‘Vision and Acceptance.’ So, along the way, you could create, research, and take action ~ around a vision that brings you joy. You could also accept things, along the way, as a ‘practice.’

*If you are unsure of your specific, spiritual purpose, discover it, now! It will help you on your journey. Click here: Life Purpose Calculator
  • Accept uncomfortable situations…
Ex: Say to yourself, for instance, “What have I learned?”
*If you’re angry, for instance, remind yourself that fear manifests itself as anger. Then, afterwards, ask yourself, “What am I afraid of…?”
  • Learn about compassion, joy, empathy and kindness…
    Ex: Read Books, Watch Videos…
  • Concentrate fully ~ from ‘Start to Finish’ on every task you perform, today.
  • See yourself, flying free, surrounded by love. 😉
  • Enjoy!

Ask yourself, “How can I… cultivate wisdom and experience freedom, today?”
Then, live from the question and see what unfolds…

About The Yoga Book

The Yoga Book

The Yoga Book is a personal yoga diary! It is a book for your thoughts and experiences, after a yoga class. Do you have a favorite posture? Sketch it! Do you have a favorite class or instructor? Take notes! Do you have a creative idea? Write it down! Use it to determine your favorite style of yoga or enhance your practice. The Yoga Book is also perfect for teacher trainings and yoga workshops! Every page has an inspirational quote, space for the date, style of yoga, and instructor’s name. It also has a glossary of classic yogas. Enjoy!

“The idea for The Yoga Book came to me in a yoga class! I saw it clearly in my mind and I needed somewhere to write it down. Also, I had recently met with an Indian medical doctor, who had said “Different styles of yoga effect people differently, so it is important to know which ‘style of yoga’ is right for you.” So, I decided to create a book, where people could journal about their experiences in a yoga class, write about the different postures – how they felt, get inspired, and write about their insights… Sometimes I would come to class with a problem, any problem, and leave with a solution! And when I did, I’d write it down somewhere, so I decided to create The Yoga Book.”
